Athlete Development Support
BSA will contribute $500 dollars to an individual athlete aged 13-21 towards travel expenses for representative training or competition, unless they are part of a local team also eligible for funding.
Representative Team Travel Assistance
We will contribute up to $1000 per team aged 13-21 towards travel expenses for representative competition. To be classified as a team there must be a minimum of 4 athletes.
Coach and Official Development
We will contribute $250 dollars to an individual coach or official towards participation in accredited coaching or official courses. Courses must be approved by the relevant State Sporting Association and does not include level one or entry level qualifications.
Criteria for all grants. includes -
a. Applicants must reside in the Shire of Broome and be affiliated with a local sporting club/association.
b. Applicants must have the support of the relevant local sporting club/association and submit a letter of support with their application.
c. Development opportunity must be affiliated with the relevant State Sporting Association or equivalent.
d. Development opportunity must result in benefiting the relevant club/association. (Does not include funding for equipment or membership fees.)
Nominated activity must link with a State Sporting Association talent pathway, and evidence of SSA support is required.
